Dulce de Papaya (Fresh Papaya in Syrup)

Ingredients
 

  • 1 medium papaya
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 3 cups of water

Instructions
 

  • Peel and slice the papaya. Remove all the seeds.
  • Cut the papaya into medium slices and place them in a medium pot with the sugar.
  • Add the water and bring to a boil over medium heat, boil for about 10 minutes with the lid on.
  • Uncover and simmer for about 30 to 40 or until the syrup thickens. Add the lime juice. Remove from heat and serve with a slice of cheese.
