This is a sponsored post from BlogHer and Samsung.
As a busy mom and food blogger, I spend most of my day in the kitchen and one of my favorite appliances is the refrigerator. So, why am I talking today about a refrigerator? Well, this particular refrigerator is among the most amazing new kitchen appliances on the market today. Sounds like a good reason to me!
Let me introduce you to the Samsung 4-Door LCD Refrigerator with Apps. It has an 8" LCD Screen and, you're not going to believe this... apps! That's right, apps! Such as Memo, Epicurious Recipes, Picasa Photos, WeatherBug, Calendar, AP News, Pandora and Twitter.
Can you imagine having one of these in your kitchen? This would be a dream come true for me. Maybe Santa will come early this year and give me one 🙂 Just think about how organized you could be if you could do all this stuff right in your kitchen. Listen to music while you cook, check the weather, get recipes from Epicurious, plan your day with the calendar without having papers all over the kitchen table like I do. Think of the extra time you'll have to enjoy your family by being more organized and streamlined, not to mention the added fun of such a cool fridge!
Other features from this beauty are:
Premium External Filtered Water and Ice Dispenser
FlexZone Drawer with Temperature Control and SmartDivider
Twin Cooling Plus System®
Power Freeze and Power Cool Options
Tempered Glass Spill Proof Shelves
EZ-Open Handle™ on Freezer Door and FlexZone Drawer
Stainless Steel Accents on Interior Shelving and Door Bins
Auto Pull Out™ Upper Freezer Drawer
Door Alarm

My dream appliance would be an automatic cooking and dishwashing machine which I don't need to cook or even put dishes into cleaning.

Personally, I love the Starbucks idea of a sprayer that's activated when you press down on it (to rinse out their pitchers etc) but I would have to go with voice-activated appliances. (Can I go with one idea for all of them? lol) Basically the idea is while you're cooking, say, chicken on the stove and 5 minutes before it's finished you have to start the rice, then you have to leave the chicken alone while you do. If things were voice-activated, you could stay at the stove and say "Rice steamer, on" or whatever. This way you could prep everything and then just turn it on when you need to without having to stop what you're doing. The way the world's going, this will probably happen soon. I think I saw a microwave that's already voice-activated.. We need more though! Programming doesn't quite work because if something happens, the rice will still start after 20 minutes or whatever. With the voice-activation, it starts when you need it to!

oh wow!! i really like the look of this refrigerator, but with the Apps that is even cooler. Every appliance at my place is the original when it was first built 20 years ago, and it would nice to have an appliance that is more energy saver.

A notification in the fridge letting me know what foods will expire soon would help with food waste.

My dream appliances would be a new set of washer and dryer that can cut the laundry time at least by 1/2. LOL, what a dream. Guess my set is really old and not efficient. The washer sometimes leak during a wash cycle..yike! The Best Buy GF can comes in handy when I'm ready to get my new washer and dryer. 🙂

The temperature zones on this fridge are a great idea! Now if it could plan the rest of the party for me, we'd be in business.

This refrigerator looks so awesome! I just moved into a new house and need to get new kitchen appliances in the not too distant future, as the ones we inherited are old and on their "last legs." Oh how I would love to get this one! Wish it was just a bit more affordable... I suppose winning a gift card from Best Buy would help! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

The would look great in the bigger kitchen of my dreams. My husband & I both love to cook & entertain, so this would get a lot of use. And it would look great with the 6 burner stove and double oven I'm dreaming of 🙂

Since I have drooled over a new fridge with new features and a bottom freezer, I have been giving my old fridge the evil eye. It's days are numbered. Now if someone could just come up with an appliance that also sucked all the dust out of my house, I would be one excited woman. Thanks for the contest!
