    Catching Up with Me {January 2013}

    CoverPin

    Well, you are probably expecting a recipe post today, but this year I am starting a new category on the blog called, “Catching Up.” I thought it would be fun once a month to share with you a little more about the person who writes this blog. Yeah that's me and I hope you won't think of this as self-indulgent. I actually love it when bloggers I follow write about themselves and what is going on in their lives.

    So, in these type of posts, some topics I might cover are my internet likes, family happenings, Colombia, favorite finds, behind the scenes of My Colombian Recipes, or whatever else I feel like writing about that day.

    Before you get to my first "Catching Up" post, I invite you to read my About page, so you can learn a little bit about me and my inspiration for creating this blog.

    Without further ado, let's catch up! I'm really excited to share some great news with you. A few months ago I was asked to join the teams of The Latin Kitchen by Latina magazine and Que Rica Vida, a Generall Millls site. I am developing recipes and writing articles for them, so when you're done here, be sure to visit the following links to see my work on these wonderful sites. Don't leave yet, you still have more catching up to do and recipes to peruse 🙂

    Here's some more facts about me that are not listed on my About page:

    A New ChapterPin

    I am a mother of two boys. When I am not changing diapers and playing with Legos, I love to cook, go grocery shopping, watch cooking shows, take pictures, and eat great food.

    A New ChapterPin

    I adore milkshakes and ice cream floats.

    I love making lists for everything, and I do put things on my list that I've already done just so I can cross them off!

    A New ChapterPin

    I love all types of kitchen gadgets, cookbooks and anything kitchen related (except for doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen).

    I can't start my day without a large cup of black coffee.

    Still want more? There will be a new post next month, and you don't have to worry about missing it because I have a handy subscribe widget on almost every page of my site! Subscription is free & you'll receive emails when I post new articles. I'll make it even easier for you, click here to subscribe.

    You can also follow me on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

      I love it when blogs have these features on them, as well. I try to do them once in a while...but usually forget And I had to giggle because I am totally a list person, too...and I always write things on my list just so I can cross them off ;). Looking forward to next month!

      I puts things on my lists that I've already done, too. I find it to be a great motivator!

      I am looking forward to more of these "catching up" posts, I am always intrigued by the "behind the scenes" of bloggers, authors, just about anyone really.
