Samsung 4-Door LCD Refrigerator with Apps

This is a sponsored post from BlogHer and Samsung.

As a busy mom and food blogger, I spend most of my day in the kitchen and one of my favorite appliances is the refrigerator. So, why am I talking today about a refrigerator? Well, this particular refrigerator is among the most amazing new kitchen appliances on the market today. Sounds like a good reason to me!

Let me introduce you to the Samsung 4-Door LCD Refrigerator with Apps. It has an 8″ LCD Screen and, you’re not going to believe this… apps! That’s right, apps! Such as Memo, Epicurious Recipes, Picasa Photos, WeatherBug, Calendar, AP News, Pandora and Twitter.BlogHer Reviewer

Can you imagine having one of these in your kitchen? This would be a dream come true for me. Maybe Santa will come early this year and give me one :-) Just think about how organized you could be if you could do all this stuff right in your kitchen. Listen to music while you cook, check the weather, get recipes from Epicurious, plan your day with the calendar without having papers all over the kitchen table like I do. Think of the extra time you’ll have to enjoy your family by being more organized and streamlined, not to mention the added fun of such a cool fridge!

Other features from this beauty are:
Premium External Filtered Water and Ice Dispenser
FlexZone Drawer with Temperature Control and SmartDivider
Twin Cooling Plus System®
Power Freeze and Power Cool Options
Tempered Glass Spill Proof Shelves

EZ-Open Handle™ on Freezer Door and FlexZone Drawer
Stainless Steel Accents on Interior Shelving and Door Bins
Auto Pull Out™ Upper Freezer Drawer
Door Alarm

For more information Visit the Official site and you can start talking with Santa about it.

I love this refrigerator! Sometimes being in the kitchen is a chore, but this seems to bring some fun in (I love gadgets)!

What is yet to be invented is the “Jetson’s” technology… press a few buttons and the meal is created for you! I wish I were a person who took more pleasure out of cooking…though I have not given up yet.

2 Maria Victoria Restrepo (Vickey West) July 25, 2011 at 10:53 AM

I love this refrigerator!! I would love to have this refrigerator in my kitchen. I love all the gadgets and I would be able to listen to music while I cook and clean. It’s very spacious too. Love it!!!!!

I wish I had a machine that would take all the folded laundry and put it away. And put clean sheets on the bed.
This refrigerator looks amazing! I love the idea of having the apps right there on the door. Thanks for the review and chance to win!

i would give anything to have this frig, i love it,

8 Mary July 25, 2011 at 11:34 PM

Erica, I agree with you about the dishwasher, but mine would go one step further and LOAD the dishes too. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve looked up from a wonderful meal and realized there was still the cleanup to do :( I love cooking, but not cleaning.

9 Maria July 26, 2011 at 12:16 AM

A stove that cooks without any help from anyone. And the food would be the best you ever tasted.

10 Jen Knox July 26, 2011 at 8:41 AM

My dream appliance would be a refrigerator like this one, but that also inventories everything inside and keeps track of expiration dates of everything! =) I’d love my fridge to tell me via text when we’re out of something while I’m at the store or would let me check the contents remotely!

By the way, this refrigerator in this post is AMAZING! Love that it’s multi-purpose and offers busy moms and dads some perks to make working in the kitchen a little more fun and easy.

Thanks for the chance to win!

What a great refrigerator, so much space….
I think that my dream appliance would be a Robot that takes care of all the household duties such as clothes, dishes, dusting, etc. That would be wonderful

12 Karina July 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM

i’d love a mop that does the cleaning for me

13 David Davis July 26, 2011 at 6:46 PM

Wow! I thought my 1,000,000 recipe CD or electronic breadmaker would satisfy my need for culinary technology – I was soooo wrong. Can I download and play Plants and Zombies while I wait for my no-bake cheesecake to set?

14 Annalise July 26, 2011 at 10:43 PM

A laundry robot for sure! Wash, Dry, Fold & Sort all the laundry. Can you tell I hate laundry?? ;o)

15 april yedinak July 27, 2011 at 11:12 AM

My dream refrigerator would be one that had a camera inside and a screen outside, so you didn’t have to open it to check out what was inside- no more kid’s standing with the door open for 15 minutes while they ‘can’t find anything to eat’.

19 Roni July 28, 2011 at 1:32 PM

Since I have drooled over a new fridge with new features and a bottom freezer, I have been giving my old fridge the evil eye. It’s days are numbered. Now if someone could just come up with an appliance that also sucked all the dust out of my house, I would be one excited woman. Thanks for the contest!

20 Liz Southwick July 29, 2011 at 9:26 AM

The would look great in the bigger kitchen of my dreams. My husband & I both love to cook & entertain, so this would get a lot of use. And it would look great with the 6 burner stove and double oven I’m dreaming of :)

21 Kathy July 29, 2011 at 10:56 AM

This refrigerator looks so awesome! I just moved into a new house and need to get new kitchen appliances in the not too distant future, as the ones we inherited are old and on their “last legs.” Oh how I would love to get this one! Wish it was just a bit more affordable… I suppose winning a gift card from Best Buy would help! Thanks for sharing! :)

24 Amy Tong July 29, 2011 at 5:11 PM

My dream appliances would be a new set of washer and dryer that can cut the laundry time at least by 1/2. LOL, what a dream. Guess my set is really old and not efficient. The washer sometimes leak during a wash cycle..yike! The Best Buy GF can comes in handy when I’m ready to get my new washer and dryer. :)

oh wow!! i really like the look of this refrigerator, but with the Apps that is even cooler. Every appliance at my place is the original when it was first built 20 years ago, and it would nice to have an appliance that is more energy saver.

31 Misha Clanton July 30, 2011 at 5:59 PM

Personally, I love the Starbucks idea of a sprayer that’s activated when you press down on it (to rinse out their pitchers etc) but I would have to go with voice-activated appliances. (Can I go with one idea for all of them? lol) Basically the idea is while you’re cooking, say, chicken on the stove and 5 minutes before it’s finished you have to start the rice, then you have to leave the chicken alone while you do. If things were voice-activated, you could stay at the stove and say “Rice steamer, on” or whatever. This way you could prep everything and then just turn it on when you need to without having to stop what you’re doing. The way the world’s going, this will probably happen soon. I think I saw a microwave that’s already voice-activated.. We need more though! Programming doesn’t quite work because if something happens, the rice will still start after 20 minutes or whatever. With the voice-activation, it starts when you need it to!

35 Mary July 31, 2011 at 12:59 AM

I was not even aware that technology was this advanced, that is how behind I am. My appliances are very dated, some from the 70’s so this would be a dream to own. Maybe there is an app that says “you really don’t need that piece of cake”. That kind of app could be a blessing in disguise!

36 Elena July 31, 2011 at 1:04 AM

37 Janice Cooper July 31, 2011 at 11:50 AM

39 True July 31, 2011 at 12:50 PM

My dream appliance is a Bacon Butler. I would just need to stock it with bacon, and it would keep it refrigerated until I summoned it (using any communication technology available… except smoke signals, of course) and then it would deliver perfectly cooked bacon… half crispy, half limp… in less than 5 minutes through the power of lasers.

I’d love a refrigerator that would have a television on it along with CD player or Dvd player. I honestly don’t use apps and updated stuff and it’s almost to complicated but basic’s like a television and fancy drawers.

57 Sara August 3, 2011 at 9:17 AM

Ahh, Pandora in the fridge is hard to beat. BUT I’m all for something like Rosie from The Jetsons that does laundry AND puts it away.

58 Lee H. August 3, 2011 at 10:49 PM

My dream appliance is a robot that picks up loose items around the house. It finds them by an RFID tag and itknows where/whom to return it to from the RFID tag.

59 Eugenie August 3, 2011 at 10:50 PM

My dream appliance is a self-organizing refrigerator that accepts return items through a trap door for energy efficiency and the frig knows where to put it and you request items by voice requests and the item comes out the same trap door. No more science experiments lurking in the back of the shelf since this frig knows when to reject out of date items and generates a printout for your shopping list on demand.

68 Carolsue August 7, 2011 at 1:05 AM

I would like an appliance that would help me with my diet. I would give it the ingredients I had and it would produce a deailed report of calories, fat, etc. and give me the number of WW points. It would, of course, also keep track of my daily WW points. When I went over, it would shout something rude to me if I tried to eat more and embarass me so that I didn’t eat that item!

Auto vaccum/sweep/steam clean/dry — an all in one that can easily switch to floor to carpet – make the rounds once (not over and over and over again in a day) an be done with it. … one that knows when Steam cleaning is needed and drying as well….

My dream washing machine would automatically wash and dry the clothes. The user (me) would sort soiled laundry into bins. When a bin holds a full load, the machine adds te pre-determined laundry additives for that bin, empties the bin into the machine, and washes at a pre-set cycle. When the clothes are washed, the machine sends a text to the user (me) asking if it should go ahead and dry or reschedule for later. The clothes are dried according to a pre-set cycle for that bin and the machine sends another text to the user (me) a few minutes before the clothes are dry.
