This is a sponsored post from BlogHer and Samsung.

As a busy mom and food blogger, I spend most of my day in the kitchen and one of my favorite appliances is the refrigerator. So, why am I talking today about a refrigerator? Well, this particular refrigerator is among the most amazing new kitchen appliances on the market today. Sounds like a good reason to me!

Let me introduce you to the Samsung 4-Door LCD Refrigerator with Apps. It has an 8″ LCD Screen and, you’re not going to believe this… apps! That’s right, apps! Such as Memo, Epicurious Recipes, Picasa Photos, WeatherBug, Calendar, AP News, Pandora and Twitter.BlogHer Reviewer

Can you imagine having one of these in your kitchen? This would be a dream come true for me. Maybe Santa will come early this year and give me one :-) Just think about how organized you could be if you could do all this stuff right in your kitchen. Listen to music while you cook, check the weather, get recipes from Epicurious, plan your day with the calendar without having papers all over the kitchen table like I do. Think of the extra time you’ll have to enjoy your family by being more organized and streamlined, not to mention the added fun of such a cool fridge!

Other features from this beauty are:
Premium External Filtered Water and Ice Dispenser
FlexZone Drawer with Temperature Control and SmartDivider
Twin Cooling Plus System®
Power Freeze and Power Cool Options
Tempered Glass Spill Proof Shelves

I love this refrigerator! Sometimes being in the kitchen is a chore, but this seems to bring some fun in (I love gadgets)!

What is yet to be invented is the “Jetson’s” technology… press a few buttons and the meal is created for you! I wish I were a person who took more pleasure out of cooking…though I have not given up yet.

  2. Maria Victoria Restrepo (Vickey West) says

I love this refrigerator!! I would love to have this refrigerator in my kitchen. I love all the gadgets and I would be able to listen to music while I cook and clean. It’s very spacious too. Love it!!!!!

  3. Carolina Moncayo says

This refrigerator is a dream come true!!!
I would love to hook up my kitchen with something this cool!
Not only is spacious but the LCD screen just take it to another level!
    Love it!

  4. Nicole Troyer says

I wish I had a machine that would take all the folded laundry and put it away. And put clean sheets on the bed.
This refrigerator looks amazing! I love the idea of having the apps right there on the door. Thanks for the review and chance to win!

  5. Mami2jcn says

My dream appliance is a laundry machine that washes, dries, folds, and puts the laundry away.

Omgosh I so need this refrigerator for my 1970’s one I have now….Please God help me win this one!!!

  7. says

Erica, I agree with you about the dishwasher, but mine would go one step further and LOAD the dishes too. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve looked up from a wonderful meal and realized there was still the cleanup to do :( I love cooking, but not cleaning.

  8. Maria says

A stove that cooks without any help from anyone. And the food would be the best you ever tasted.

  9. says

My dream appliance would be a refrigerator like this one, but that also inventories everything inside and keeps track of expiration dates of everything! =) I’d love my fridge to tell me via text when we’re out of something while I’m at the store or would let me check the contents remotely!

By the way, this refrigerator in this post is AMAZING! Love that it’s multi-purpose and offers busy moms and dads some perks to make working in the kitchen a little more fun and easy.

Thanks for the chance to win!

  10. Monica Young says

What a great refrigerator, so much space….
I think that my dream appliance would be a Robot that takes care of all the household duties such as clothes, dishes, dusting, etc. That would be wonderful

  11. David Davis says

Wow! I thought my 1,000,000 recipe CD or electronic breadmaker would satisfy my need for culinary technology – I was soooo wrong. Can I download and play Plants and Zombies while I wait for my no-bake cheesecake to set?

  12. april yedinak says

My dream refrigerator would be one that had a camera inside and a screen outside, so you didn’t have to open it to check out what was inside- no more kid’s standing with the door open for 15 minutes while they ‘can’t find anything to eat’.

Since I have drooled over a new fridge with new features and a bottom freezer, I have been giving my old fridge the evil eye. It’s days are numbered. Now if someone could just come up with an appliance that also sucked all the dust out of my house, I would be one excited woman. Thanks for the contest!

  16. Liz Southwick says

The would look great in the bigger kitchen of my dreams. My husband & I both love to cook & entertain, so this would get a lot of use. And it would look great with the 6 burner stove and double oven I’m dreaming of :)

  17. says

This refrigerator looks so awesome! I just moved into a new house and need to get new kitchen appliances in the not too distant future, as the ones we inherited are old and on their “last legs.” Oh how I would love to get this one! Wish it was just a bit more affordable… I suppose winning a gift card from Best Buy would help! Thanks for sharing! :)

  18. Megan D says

The temperature zones on this fridge are a great idea! Now if it could plan the rest of the party for me, we’d be in business.

  19. says

My dream appliances would be a new set of washer and dryer that can cut the laundry time at least by 1/2. LOL, what a dream. Guess my set is really old and not efficient. The washer sometimes leak during a wash cycle..yike! The Best Buy GF can comes in handy when I’m ready to get my new washer and dryer. :)

  20. Shannon says

A notification in the fridge letting me know what foods will expire soon would help with food waste.

  21. Teresa P says

oh wow!! i really like the look of this refrigerator, but with the Apps that is even cooler. Every appliance at my place is the original when it was first built 20 years ago, and it would nice to have an appliance that is more energy saver.

  22. Misha Clanton says

Personally, I love the Starbucks idea of a sprayer that’s activated when you press down on it (to rinse out their pitchers etc) but I would have to go with voice-activated appliances. (Can I go with one idea for all of them? lol) Basically the idea is while you’re cooking, say, chicken on the stove and 5 minutes before it’s finished you have to start the rice, then you have to leave the chicken alone while you do. If things were voice-activated, you could stay at the stove and say “Rice steamer, on” or whatever. This way you could prep everything and then just turn it on when you need to without having to stop what you’re doing. The way the world’s going, this will probably happen soon. I think I saw a microwave that’s already voice-activated.. We need more though! Programming doesn’t quite work because if something happens, the rice will still start after 20 minutes or whatever. With the voice-activation, it starts when you need it to!

  23. Jessie C. says

My dream appliance would be an automatic cooking and dishwashing machine which I don’t need to cook or even put dishes into cleaning.

  24. Mary says

I was not even aware that technology was this advanced, that is how behind I am. My appliances are very dated, some from the 70’s so this would be a dream to own. Maybe there is an app that says “you really don’t need that piece of cake”. That kind of app could be a blessing in disguise!

  25. Janice Cooper says

My dream appliance and I’ve always thought of this is an appliance where you push a button, add your recipe or type in what you want for dinner, lunch or breakfast and wa la, the food is appears.

  26. True says

I’d get a rice maker/slowcooker. So I’d have rice made on the side when the slower cooker finishes.

  27. amanda s says

a robot that could clean my room for me including picking up clothes off the floor and hanging them up.

  28. says

My dream appliance is a Bacon Butler. I would just need to stock it with bacon, and it would keep it refrigerated until I summoned it (using any communication technology available… except smoke signals, of course) and then it would deliver perfectly cooked bacon… half crispy, half limp… in less than 5 minutes through the power of lasers.

  29. Helen Keeler says

My dream appliance would be would be a sewing machine that could cut out the patter and fabric while sewing. helenkeeler at

I’d love a refrigerator that would have a television on it along with CD player or Dvd player. I honestly don’t use apps and updated stuff and it’s almost to complicated but basic’s like a television and fancy drawers.

  33. Sara says

Ahh, Pandora in the fridge is hard to beat. BUT I’m all for something like Rosie from The Jetsons that does laundry AND puts it away.

  34. Lee H. says

My dream appliance is a robot that picks up loose items around the house. It finds them by an RFID tag and itknows where/whom to return it to from the RFID tag.

  35. Eugenie says

My dream appliance is a self-organizing refrigerator that accepts return items through a trap door for energy efficiency and the frig knows where to put it and you request items by voice requests and the item comes out the same trap door. No more science experiments lurking in the back of the shelf since this frig knows when to reject out of date items and generates a printout for your shopping list on demand.

  36. Christienne says

What a dream, to have appliances that did it ALL for you. Meal planned, shopped and cooked and served!

  37. Katherine G. says

My dream appliance is a silent blow dryer so I can watch tv while I dry my hair.

  38. TerriC says

Wow…this is the best looking kitchen appliance I have ever seen and I already don’t know how I am living without it….I might actually be able to have enough room after a large family meal to put it all in the refrigerator rather than taking some to my mother’s house….I would really love to have this refrigerator.
    Thanks for listening.

  39. Lauren says

I would love a self-sufficient vacuum. It seems we always need to do it, but it’s just no fun!

  40. Cheryl Newton says

My dream appliance would be a robot like on the Jetsons, but a gardening one. It would landscape the yard, then perform the necessary upkeep. How awesome would that be?

  41. Carolsue says

I would like an appliance that would help me with my diet. I would give it the ingredients I had and it would produce a deailed report of calories, fat, etc. and give me the number of WW points. It would, of course, also keep track of my daily WW points. When I went over, it would shout something rude to me if I tried to eat more and embarass me so that I didn’t eat that item!

  42. Carolsue says

I have posted this on my blog.

My dream appliance would be an energy efficient range! I cook a lot, and I know that my stove is a major chunk of my electricity usage (after A/C and heat, of course).

  44. LAMusing says

My magic dryer would fold and iron and put away my clothes. It would also make the bad with my fresh sheets!

  45. Norma says

I’d like a fridge with revolving shelves so I don’t have to crouch and dig for stuff in the back!

  46. Mish says

Oh my! This is an amazing fridge!!! Mine is on it’s deathbed right now and this would be a dreamy replacement!!! :) Thanks for blogging about it!

  47. says

I wish my fridge had a “scanner” in it. So that when I put something in it, it would scan it. And when I was out…it would let me know!

  48. says

I have so many dream appliance ideas.
How about a child lock fridge, automatic coke maker (like coffee maker), vacuum that works when it sees dirt, or a self working dish washer.

I’d love an appliance that washes, dries, folds and puts away the laundry!

I like your dishwaher idea. I would also have a robot that cooks gourmet meals then cleans up the kitchen and dining room.

  62. Jan says

My dream appliance would be a washing machine that automatically dries your clothes for you without having to move them to another machine. An added bonus would be somehow hanging up the clothes for me or laying them flat so they don’t wrinkle.

  63. Stacy says

My dream appliance would wash clothes, dry them, fold them, and then wheel itself around the house to put them all away.

  64. Donna B. says

I need a machine that not only will wash and dry clothes, but iron, fold, put away and do the occasional repair too (missing button, hem, etc)! Basically I need my own personal Rosie. LOL

  65. Kandi Smith says

My dream washing machine would automatically wash and dry the clothes. The user (me) would sort soiled laundry into bins. When a bin holds a full load, the machine adds te pre-determined laundry additives for that bin, empties the bin into the machine, and washes at a pre-set cycle. When the clothes are washed, the machine sends a text to the user (me) asking if it should go ahead and dry or reschedule for later. The clothes are dried according to a pre-set cycle for that bin and the machine sends another text to the user (me) a few minutes before the clothes are dry.

  66. Adrienne says

My dream appliance would be a pre-power washer for the sink, so that the dishes actually come out of the machine without scraps of food on them!

  71. Debra F says

My dream refrigerator would season and/or marinate my food for me. You get home from the supermarket – throw your meat in a shoot, press a button saying how you’d like it seasoned and it would get it all ready for you when you are ready to cook it.
