    CanelazoPin

Canelazo is a popular and strong Colombian drink that is a perfect end to any meal. It's made from agua de panela, cinnamon and aguardiente, an anise flavored liquor  which translates to "fire water" in English and lime juice. Enjoy this cocktail at your next party!

    How to Make Canelazo

    • Place the aguapanela, aguardiente, cinnamon and lime juice in a medium-low pot over medium heat. Simmer for about 7 minutes. Don not let it boil.
    • To serve: place the sugar in a shallow dish. Moisten the rim of a espresso cup with a dampened paper towel, then dip in sugar.
    • Fill the cup with canelazo. Serve immediately.

I could drink sugar cane juice all day long - its sweetness is more satisfying but not as cloying as sodas and such. I have never tried aguardiente and I know my husband, who loves to try new spirits, would be very intrigued. This drink would be just the thing to sip leisurely while you're gathered with others, just chatting . . . 😎

Oh, I would love this. I usually don't like sugar cane juice alone, but when it is spiced up it is so much more tasty for me.
