Today let me introduce you to my favorite pizza of all time. This Colombian pizza is one of those things I love to eat whenever I visit Colombia. I must confess, I did not make my own pizza dough, I just used store bought. If you are feeling brave, feel free to make your own…I am not there yet ;-).
I have no words to describe just how good this pizza is. It is packed with goodness! You’ll have to try it so that you can understand what I am talking about for yourself. One of the reasons I love this blog so much is because it pushes me to make recipes at home of foods that I love and miss so much from my country.

There's a pizza place here in SF that serves both Columbian (I swear, need to check) and Italian pizzas - I do remember lots of corn on the pizza which I thought was a great addition. Your recipe sounds amazing and easy to do at home. Cannot wait to try.

The toppings on this pizza look absolutely fantastic! Especially the avocado. I need to incorporate those into my life more.
I am all about the homemade pizza dough! You should give it a try, it is actually so much easier than it seems.

Diana and Lorraine - Colombian and Spanish chorizo have different flavor and Colombian chorizo is not as red as the Spanish one.

This does sound wonderful (I'm s partial to chorizo!). Is Columbian chorizo very different from Spanish Chorizo? 🙂
Sophie

We put corn on pizza in Korea too! A lot of Americans laughed about that in Korea but I think it's a great ingredient for pizza! 🙂 Your pizza looks fabulous!

Colombia is known for its "original" twists on many foods. Other only seen in Colombia pizza toppings: Guava paste and cheese, chicken and mushrooms, butifarra and queso costeño (a local fresh cheese from the Caribbean coast of Colombia ), among others.
