Happy Second Anniversary to My Blog!

    Feb 9, 2011 · Modified: Jul 15, 2021 by Erica Dinho · 38 Comments

Two years already? I am still amazed when I think about it. Two years ago, on Feb 9 2009, I thought long and hard about this little venture of mine and I'm so glad I did. Today, on my second anniversary in the blogosphere, I can say that this second year has been even better than the first!

I've met great people, made new friends, acquired new readers, and I've learned a ton. I am able to do something every day that I love and I'm able to share it with you.

I want to dedicate this post to all of you, without whom this blog would simply not be what it is today. Your constant comments and e-mails always make me happy and smile, and for that I am thankful!

Erica, congratulations on your 2nd anniversary! I want to personally thank you for all of your recipes, I've made a ton of them and they turn out fantastic. I'm also from Medellín and whenever I feel like having a good Colombian meal I turn to this blog to see which recipe I can make. Thank you, thank you, thank you! ¡Un abrazo!

I am also very thankful for you! Marrying a Colombian guy, and knowing nothing about Colombian food (before) you've helped us create some favorites! Even if I mess it up terribly, which happens occasionally haha, you helped us bring a new bonding element to our relationship in your blog by being a very approachable, kind, clear, and realistic blogger!

Thanks! And heres to two years!

I do follow your recipes. I am a Colombian. My parents never taught me how to cook. I have learned to cook all my traditional cooking through your blog. I have looked through the internet and book stores and haven't found anything quite like yours. All your recipes is authentic to the taste of the way I grew up and my heritage. You should have your own cook book. I would buy it to keep in my kitchen. Thank you for doing this.<3

Congratulations Erica and thanks for advocating for the wonderful Colombian food. We just got back from Colombia where we adopted our little girl. We have recently found your site and can't wait to try more recipes. We recently made your colombian hot dogs and our boys raved about them. Now all we want to do is go back to Colombia......that's not going to happen anytime soon, so with your help you can fill that desire with great food recommendations.
Congrats again and thanks for a wonderful resource.
