My Life Lately…

I want to apologize to all of my readers for not posting as often these past couple of months and to my blogging friends for not visiting your blogs as often. I do have a couple of pretty good excuses though…

I have some news that I’ve been meaning to share with you for a while now, but I just haven’t had the time to write even a short post such as this.

Okay guys, here it is… I am expecting my second baby and I had a difficult first trimester. It was really hard to cook, go to the market and even talk too about food.

The second excuse is that I started I new job at the same time! But I am feeling a lot better lately and am cooking again and I promise that I will be posting more often. I’m deeply grateful to you all for reading my blog day after day.

Congratulations Erica!!!! So glad that you are feeling better now and hope you are enjoying your new job too. Don’t overdo and don’t worry about blogging as often. Just take care of yourself and your little one.

Omg!!!Congratulations! How exciting. Sorry you had a rough time in the beginning but glad you’re feeling better. Don’t pressure yourself…just post when you can, at your leisure. And keep us updated on how everything is while you’re talking to us about food :)

Congrats!!! I know just how much craziness happens with that!! LOL Just had our little girl last month, my wife felt REALLY bad for the first 2 months, bad morning sickness, migraines, all that.

Hope you’re doing well, my wife was told that Acetimenphen is the only painkiller you can take while pregnant that is safe for the baby. So if you get headaches like my wife did, that can help, but no more than 800mg, or 8 pills a day.

Congratulations Erica for your second pregnancy, hope it’s smooth sailing from now on. I thoroughly enjoy your blog and have prepared several of your dishes; all of them turn out beautifully. I recommend your recipes to my daughter who being a Colombiana loves the food from her native Valle del Cauca but also likes to try anything new, but her Spanish has gotten a bit rusty.(Un abrazo desde Suecia)

You’re the second blogger I follow who just announced the ‘happy’ reason for not blogging so often lately. A second baby is wonderful — I didn’t know there was a first. Best wishes to you and your family!!

Well that is great news! And don’t fret about not posting. My sister didn’t cook, couldn’t even be in the house while cooking was going on, while she was pregnant. Take your time and best of luck. We’ll have you in our RSS feeds when you get back to posting.

Exciting news Erica. But no wonder you have been exhausted! Look after yourself and that little growing baby. Lucky child to have such beautiful food all around!

Congratulations Erica, what a wonderful time for you and your family. I was not able to even make coffe in the morning when I was pregnant ( and I’m a catering chef) so I know how you feel, I’m glad you feel better, good luck on your new job; do not woek to hard, take good care of your new baby. May God bless you..

Yes, Chris is right we have the RSS feed, and I am sooo slow about coming over, but it sits there staring at me each day, lol, and hey I am about to give birth to my first short story and poetry book, so I can relate, the nausea is almost to much to bare!

LOL, well seriously after two kids and twenty something years later, I feel sick, it reminds me of being pregnant but I have to cook, or hubby will starve!

I wish you so much happiness and many days of feeling great!

Congratulations and thank you for your blogs, my boyfriend is columbian and we live in a small seaside town in england so as you can imagine I need as much inspiration as possible, he misses his mums cooking so I am trying my best to bring a bit of colombia to cornwall x

Erica, that’s great news. Congratulations both for your pregnancy and new job. I am very happy for you and there is no need to apologize. I haven’t been around much either as I am determined to finish my book but I always try and comment back whenever I get a comment.

Congratulations on being a mom for the second time. I am new to your site but I am enjoying it very much. Six months ago I made a friend in Cali and this is my first Colombian friend. Thanks again for sharing your recipes.
