About this Avocado Hummus Recipe
Classic Hummus is one of my favorite dips and I love making my own variations of it adding different combination of ingredients. This Avocado Hummus variations is creamy and tangy, and the perfect snack or appetizer.

I decided to add avocado to my favorite traditional hummus recipe and the result was incredible. It's creamy, smooth and it has the perfect balance of flavors.

Ingredients You'll Need

Chickpeas: It's one of the main ingredients to make hummus, you can just canned or homemade.
Avocado: You need ripe avocados to make this dip.
Tahini: It's a sesame seed paste and one of the main ingredients of traditional hummus.
Oil: I like to use a good quality olive oil for good flavor and consistency.
Lime: Always use fresh limes.
Cumin: ground cumin adds a nice earthy flavor.
Salt and Pepper: Extra flavor.
Garlic: I love the flavor of garlic with the rest of the ingredients.
Cilantro: I like to add cilantro, but feel free to replace it with parsley.
Water: To mix the ingredients and it helps to get a smooth and creamy consistency.

What to Serve with Avocado Hummus?
I like to serve it with plantain chips, tortilla chips or pita chips. You can also add this hummus to a rice and chicken bowl, roasted vegetables, spread it on bread to make a sandwich, or even as a salad dressing. It's a versatile and wonderful dip!

How to Make Avocado Hummus?
- Place the garbanzo beans and garlic in a food processor and mix for about 20 seconds.
- Add the remaining ingredients and process to form a smooth paste.
- Serve or store in a covered container in the refrigerator.

Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 avocado peeled and diced
- 2 garlic cloves crushed
- ½ cup water
- 4 tablespoons of Tahini
- 4 tablespoons of fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro plus more for garnish
