This Papa Salada (Salted Potatoes) recipe is very easy to make and absolutely delicious served with grilled meats, poultry or seafood.

What is Papa Salada?
It's a traditional Colombian side dish and is a typical accompaniment to our asados or grilled meats. In my opinion, the best papas saladas are found in Medellin at a chain restaurant called Kokoriko, where their specialty is roasted chicken.
If you need a quick and versatile side dish for a weeknight dinner or a summer barbecue, try this salted potato dish! Tender, flavorful and they come together in less than 30 minutes.
You only need 3 ingredients to make this Papa Salada recipe. Red small potatoes are the best option for this dish, because they retain their shape, and they don’t get mushy after cooking.

Potatoes: You need small red potatoes to make this dish and try to use the same size so they cook evenly,
Salt: This is a must to make this salted potatoes dish.
Water: To cook the potatoes.
How to Make Papa Salada?
- n a medium pot, place the potatoes and water.
- Turn the heat to medium and add the salt.
- Cover the pot and cook for about 30 minutes or until all the water has evaporated. Swirl the pot to cover all the potatoes with the salt.

What to Serve with Salted Potatoes?
Some of my favorite main dishes to serve with these salted potatoes are roasted chicken, steak with chimichurri sauce and grilled salmon.
Serve them with these dipping sauces avocado ají, pink sauce and garlic sauce if you you want to eat them as a snack or appetizer.
