We love Italian food in my house! I fell in love with Spaghetti and Shrimp Fra Diavolo when I had it at an Italian restaurant a couple of years ago. Since then, I’ve wanted to create my own version at home.
I used my Simple Tomato Sauce for the base and it was fantastic in every way. It was satisfying, filling and comforting. It’ll covers your cravings for seafood, pasta and spiciness, through and through.
Buen provecho!
Ingredients:
(About 4 servings)
1 pound cooked spaghetti
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 cups of tomato sauce
1 cup white wine
1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
Directions:
1. Season the shrimp with salt. Heat the olive oil in a sauce pan over medium-high heat. Add the red pepper flakes and shrimp. Cook for one minute, stir and keep cooking, about 1minute more.
2. Add the tomato sauce and wine. Cook for about 8 minutes. Add the fresh basil. Season to taste.
3. Toss the pasta with the sauce and serve.

I think I could fall in love with this pasta too.
Hi, Erika, try it also with fresh, flat leaf parsley instead of basil. It’s yummy!
Looks so delicious – I am making this for dinner tonight! I am sure my family will love it.
I just discovered your website today, and I have been mesmerized by all of your creations!
Speaking of one of your (and my) favorite desserts, flan, is there any chance you might make a passionfruit or blackberry flan in the future? I am deciding between the pear & pineapple flan for tonight’s dessert, and those two fruits came to mind.
Spicy and I like it!
This is one of my favorite meals. I love spicy shrimp.

This is an old time favorite and you really did it perfectly. Great shot!
What a delicious spaghetti dish! So many fresh flavors.
I love it! I’ve seen some huge shrimp at the San Juan market here and I have some great spaghetti from the Italian store around the corner from my house. I can see myself eating this for dinner very soon
Perfect Italian food – love everything pasta and especially with shrimp and spice!
Thank you, guys!
