Strawberry Colada is a delicious and simple cocktail. Creamy, sweet, refreshing and perfect for a summer day.

Classic Piña Colada is one of my favorite cocktails, however, on a trip to Cartagena many years ago, I fell in love with a Fresa Colada (Strawberry Colada) from the hotel where I was staying. It was incredible! Sweet, creamy and irresistibly pink.

Last week, having bought a lot of organic strawberries, I remembered that delicious drink and decided to recreate it at home. This Strawberry Colada was very easy to make and absolutely delicious.
Ingredients You'll Need
The printable recipe card with exact amounts and directions is below
Strawberries: I like to use organic fruit as much as possible.
Coconut Milk: I recommend using canned coconut milk for this recipe.
Ice Cream: I like to use vanilla ice cream to m make this drink, but you can use strawberry or coconut ice cream if you want.
Condensed milk: It adds extra sweetness to this cocktail.
Rum: I like to use white rum, but feel free to use your favorite or omit it for an alcoholic free drink.

How to Make Strawberry Colada
- In a blender, combine all the ingredients. Taste and add extra rum or sweet condensed milk, if desired.
- Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
Cooking Tips
It will also be delicious combining blackberries or raspberries with the strawberries. You can make a kids non alcoholic version as well, by omitting the rum. Enjoy this wonderful drink on a warm day!

Love that drink! What would be a good substitute for sweetened condensed milk? Diabetes is my problem....

I used condensed milk to make it sweet, just add your favorite sweetener or omit it if is sweet enough for you.
