This Tangerine Ice Cream Float is a perfect and simple treat made with just 3 ingredients and ready in 4 minutes.

I was introduced to ice cream soda floats 26 years ago when I moved to the United States. What is not to like about this delicious, sweet and refreshing drink.
Fresh tangerine juice is a popular drink in Colombia and one of my favorite drinks. I decided to create a tangerine ice cream float and the result was better than I imagine.

What is an Ice Cream Float?
It is sweet and delicious drink made with carbonated soda and ice cream. The classic or traditional one is made with root beer, but you can your favorite flavor soda and ice cream to make it.

Ingredients You'll Need
The printable recipe card with exact amounts and directions is below.
Tangerine Juice:I like to make my own tangerine juice at home, but you can use store bought if you prefer. Also use your favorite flavor to make this recipe if you don't like tangerine.
Ice Cream:Use a good quality vanilla ice cream to make this drink.
Seltzer Water: Use your favorite brand.

How to Make this Float?
- Mix the tangerine juice with carbonated water. Set aside.
- Fill two glasses with vanilla ice cream and pour tangerine soda mixture over top.

Tips to Make an Ice Cream Float
You can add to the glass the ice cream first or the juice first.
Serve it immediately with a straw and spoon on the side.
Chill the glass for a couple of minutes before making this recipe, it will help to keep the float cold longer.
