Fresco de Aguacate is a creamy and refreshing traditional Colombian drink made with avocado.

Do you want another way to enjoy the wonderful avocado? How about a cool, creamy glass of Fresco de Aguacate! Place all the ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.
This Avocado drink or Avocado Smoothie is popular in Buenaventura, a coastal seaport city located on the Pacific side of Colombia.

Ingredients You'll Need
The printable recipe card with exact ingredient amounts and directions is below.
Avocado: You need ripe avocados to make this drink.
Milk: The traditional fresco de aguacate is made with whole milk, but you can use skim milk ,coconut water or coconut milk if you prefer.
Sugar: I like to use superfine sugar to make it, because it dissolves easier. Feel free to use honey if you prefer.
Ice: To make the drink cold.

This Fresco de Aguacate recipe is deliciously thick and creamy, and trust me, it doesn't taste like guacamole 🙂

How to Make Fresco de Aguacate
- Place all the ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.
- Pour your drink into glasses and drink immediately.
Notes
You can also make this Fresco de Aguacate recipe dairy free using oat, almond, coconut milk or coconut water and you can also add fruit like pineapple, banana or mango. Some people make this drink using sweet condense milk instead of sugar for a rich sweet flavor.
That is not the traditional way to make it in Colombia, but it's a delicious and healthy alternative.
