Watermelon Juice (Jugo de Sandía)

Jugo de patilla

This Jugo de Sandía or Patilla is delicious and extremely refreshing on a hot day. Try it, your kids will love you for it!

Jugo de Sandia or watermelon juice



(4 Servings)

  • 5 cups watermelon, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • ¼ cup ice water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Jugo de Patilla


Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately and enjoy!

As everyone says, it looks incredibly refreshing! I used to have watermelon juice often in Vietnam, but for some reason I’ve never bothered to make it here in the U.S. However, now that I have your recipe for it, this will soon change! :)

This was so easy to make and it was so delicious! We make this at least three times a week as it is so refreshing in this hot weather. Thank you for the great recipe.

I also add little chunks of the watermelon to gloat in it…. the kids love the extra crunch!
